Golf Day

The Golf Day of the SW Lancs Snooker & Dominoes League, held at Widnes Golf Club on Friday 16th April 2010, was played in bright sunny conditions, and enjoyed by the 100-plus competitors who took part.  The event was followed by evening dinner and prize presentation in the Clubhouse.

The team prize was won by Hindley Hall Golf Club in a single stableford competition (224 points) who took the honours from local rivals Gathurst Golf Club (222 points).

The best individual performances were by T. Lundy (Hindley Hall Golf Club) (40 points) who narrowly provided the best individual score from fellow club member P. Fisher (also 40 points) on a 'card play-off'.

The host Golf Club for the 2011/12 season will be Birchwood Golf Club.

2009/10 Competition Winners

The SW Lancs Snooker and Dominoes League season ended on a high note at the Widnes Golf Club on Tuesday 23rd March 2010. 

Haydock Park Golf Club were the eventual winners of the Snooker knock-out competition after a closely fought contest with Gathurst Golf Club, taking the winner's prize with a final match score of 3-3, winning on the higher aggregate score rule.

The Dominoes knock-out competition was equally exciting with Dean Wood Golf Club being the eventual winners, and Hindley Hall Golf Club the runners-up.
